A review article on the Z-120 in the October issue of Computers & Electronics magazine states that: "By reprogramming, you can double its already high resolution to 500 lines by 640 pixels for TV-quality monochrome pictures" and at the end of the articles under graphics specs: 640 X 225 (327,680) pixels in optional interlace mode Does anyone know whether this is true? I haven't seen anything in any of the Zenith or Heath advertisements to suggest this. If so, I would appreciate hearing any details on how to do it along with limitations and side-effects? Well, you *can* create 640x480 resolution graphics on the Z-100 series machines, but you suffer from the fact that the display must be interlaced, which produces very noticeable flicker, especially when certain patterns are displayed. Here at the University of Utah, we have created a program to set up interlaced mode, but there are certain problems with interlaced mode besides the flicker. Zenith does not currently support interlaced mode, so all of the current software does not work, including the screen support software, so you can't display text on the screen correctly unless you are willing to write your own text handler.
