Forgive me if this has been asked before. Does anyone know if there exists a public domain or commercial version of a Prolog compiler for the Mac? Any pointers or actual vendor information would be greatly appreciated. There are several prolog systems form the Mac. I use LPA MacProlog extensively. They provide a reasonable development environment and good connection to the Mac toolbox. This system is sold by Quintus Computer Systems, in MountainView CA. I think they can be gotten hold of via sales@quintus.com. Other vendors I know of are AAIS (Advanced Artificial Intelligences Systems, I think), and ALS (Applied Logic Systems). I have heard rumours that ALS has the fastest Prolog for the Mac. I don't have an address for AAIS. The address I have for ALS is Applied Logic Systems Box 90 University Station Syracuse, New York 13210 These are all commerical Prologs. I don't know of a public domain Prolog for the Mac.

LPA also supply an object extension to prolog : prolog+ and a class browser/editing environment called macObject. simon lucas kingston polytechnic
