Aaargh!!! I *LIKE* Omega VERY much, and I know that it's just a pre- release...still..... The game works well enough so that ones standards are heightened. Take this for instance; I'm walking merrily along a vast natural cave the other day (just a couple of minutes ago actually) and suddenly... out of the shadows a surprise attack! No prob, I think, just a Ninja or two.. Nosiree, 'twas a blasted Phantom! He is imprevious to all physical attacks (ok), and so I figured I'd give him some righteous blast with my magic missile spell. My mana was high. No sweat. Now, If I had actually seen the b....r verything would've been fine. As it was the fouling fouler had *forced* me into tactical combat mode and was therefore NOWHERE TO BE SEEN. How, I ask you, is a poor adventurer to know where to 'target' his spell where no target is to be seen and at that had come 'from the shadows' which could mean any direction at all. As it was I only had time to try three different directions before he 'sapped my very soul' out dry. Don't misunderstand me now. Omega is the *absolutely* best game out I know for any Unix system, closely followed only by Moria, even *with* it's bu..err..features. A small prayer for the creator only.. Make the 'combative' spells SELF-TARGETING in tac-mode. Thank you. Looking forward to next release, -- /Peter (turbo) Svenson pesv@enea (UUCP) enea!pesv@seismo.arpa (ARPA) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- She chuckled. "Don't you wish." The sky tilted, and he saw green horizon. "Twenty thousand meters. I'm going to nuke out."
