I have been tracking a few bugs/anomalies in PC Moria 4.83 for a while. These may have been reported before, but I haven't seen them. 1. With regard to the infamous "black ooze" bug, I have noticed something else that might be of value. At one point, I encountered a black ooze, killed it with a lightning ball, and took a step, only to see another "O" appear near the location of the first one. I looked at it, and was told only that I saw the granite wall behind it. Thinking this might be a trick, I let go on it with a few magic missiles. Sure enough, it wasn't there, even though it was displayed. I think it moved, but I'm not certain. Anyway, I left the room, and when I came back it was gone. 2. I recently sold an identified cloak [1,+0] at the general store for the outrageous sum of 83 gold pieces. It was then placed on sale for 176 gold pieces. It was put on sale right next to the others like it, which were listed for about 6 gold. I tried bidding on it, and the shopkeeper really *did* want that much for it. This seems to be either a problem with the price generation, or with the identification of the cloak. 3. There's something fishy about those filthy street urchins. When hit with a ranged magic attack, they are permanently marked on the screen, instead of disappearing. They stay there until (a) you enter and exit a shop, or (b) something else passes through that spot (you, another magic attack, your "square of light", etc.). They vanish normally when killed with a weapon, and this problem doesn't appear for any of the other village folk. _____________________________ My opinions, that's all. | Pete Granger Compugraphic doesn't care | a.k.a.
