I noticed a few bugs when I compiled wanderer2 source on xenix 2.2.1. (running on a 386 if anyone cares). You have to change the stack size to get the editor to work and some of the screens will cause a bus error or segmentation fault when to many rocks fall or to many arrows shoot. If a(the) new version that eliminates the problem with the score/level hacking is fixed, then i'll see if the bugs are still there and i'll fix them and post complete source for xenix then. balloons sounds interesting. please post the complete source for the newest version Steve(Shipway). I can't reach you computer system from the one i'm at(greasy network....). evh

Hum - sounds like you have the same problem as when I ported it to pallio (CP/M 2.2 gasp :-) ) Screen 8 is blowing it away right (??). OK, what I did was to implement an iterative version of fall that requires about 10K of memory for a "fall stack" - and then I just loop round taking whatever is on top. If this reaches Mr. Shipway (I've sent mail twice, but never had a reply) is there any "validation suite" for wanderer - I'd like to test this version to make sure that it does everything in the proper order. So far I've been able to solve screens 1-5 (I'm working on 6) and my solutions from home work on the standard implementation on lakart. Comments anyone? P.S. with Wanderer 2.2 I'm gonna have to rewrite my fall.c for these newfangled balloon things. Oh well, it should be worth the effort. -- dg@lakart.UUCP - David Goodenough +---+ | +-+-+ ....... !harvard!xait!lakart!dg +-+-+ | AKA: dg%lakart.uucp@harvard.harvard.edu +---+
