It is not clear to me what marines are good for in Conquer. Maybe someone can enlighten me : The rules say that 'only marines may disembark in someone else's land', and indeed this is tru. If you unload marines they DO NOT CAPTURE THE SECTOR, no matter how large the group. And since marines have 0 move, you can do nothing but load them again, or leave them as defensive force. Or DISBAND them on the enemy territory... Normal armies are not willing to disembark on hostile land, so that makes capturing enemy territories from a fleet totally impossible. Maybe I'm overlooking something, but this doesn't make sense to me.... I cannot use my ships for conquering islands.
