I've been running nethack 3.0 on a sun 3. Since I applied patch level 2, the '/' (whatis) key has developed a strange behavior when I specify the unknown object by cursor. Most (but not all) of the time, after telling me what the selected object is, it loops back to the "Please move the cursor to the unknown object --More--" message. Has anyone else seen this behavior? -- Simcha Lerner Kurzweil Applied Intelligence PLEASE NOTE ADDRESS: NO RETURN MAIL VIA bbn PLEASE UUCP address: kurz-ai!simcha@talcott.harvard.edu or: ...{uunet,rutgers,ames}!harvard!talcott!kurz-ai!simcha

It happens to me, too -- I thought it was a "feature", somewhat ill- mannered, but I thought the idea was to let you make multiple identifications at the same time. It would be nice to be able to abort it without all the extra keystrokes, though. Incidentally, has anybody running a system comparable to mine ('386, VGA card, ISC 2.0.2) managed to make it run in color? I can't seem to get it to happen. --Al Evans-- -- Al Evans {tntdev, texbell, ssbn}!inebriae!al al@inebriae.WLK.COM
