I was playing nethack, version 3.0f, patchlevel 2 on a ridge 3200,
doing very well, -9 armor class, blessed +3 long sword named Excalibur,
blessed broadsword named Stormbringer, and so forth, when I got eaten
by a chameleon which was pretending to be an ice vortex. When it
changed into something else, I got the message Really hit the invisible
reflex action? or something like that. The game proceeded to abort,
but it gave me the message that I might be able to restore it if I
talked to jhh, which is me since I installed the game. It seems that a
save file with a .e appendix was created, but I have no idea how to
restore the file. What was the bug, and how do I restore the game?
Another question: does Stormbringer make me use up food faster? I have
been praying whenever I get weak, but now that I have Stormbringer, the
gods often get angry.

The bug is a real bug, and happens either when you polymorph a creature or if the creature is a shape changer (chameleon). >Another question: does Stormbringer make me use up food faster?
