[comp.sources.games.bugs] Wanderer changes

kevin@perle.UUCP (Kevin Pickard) (07/10/90)

A long time ago in the early days of wanderer I created
a screen that I thought was reasonably difficult. This
screen had been tested on some of the local players and
after fixing it up a bit I felt it was a good challenge. I
sent this screen in to Steven Shipway so it could be
included in his next release and to my surprise it was :-).
It is screen 36.

My problem is that I have recently loaded the latest
version of wanderer onto our system here and things have
changed. There are all the neat new things that have been
added like balloons and so on which is great. But it
appears that the rules for arrows and falling rocks have
been changed slightly. These last changes have resulted in
making screen 36 very easy to solve :-(.

So in the interest of keeping the challenge in the game
I have included two small changes below which return the
screen to the way it was intended. This changed screen will
still work under the older version of wanderer as well.

     Have fun!
