[comp.sources.games.bugs] compiling NetHack 3.0 on a PC

Sound (to me) like your PC has run out of disk space during linking.
Check the amount of free disk either where you are compiling, or where
the TEMP (or is it TMP) environment variable is set to.

Perhaps that tmp file is getting truncated and MSC is belching on that.
