There is a feature in the larn game which allows a player to gain a
lot of cash and a lot of experience with very little effort.

The technique is to simply clear the top two levels of the dungeon and
try and get as much cash as possible.  Then buy a scroll of magic mapping
and a scroll of stealth (7000 gold coins).  Now read the scroll of stealth
and drop into the volcano.  Read the scroll of magic mapping and look
for a chest or a book that you can reach.  If you can get one or more then
the game is easy.  Grab them and sell them at the DND store.  Then buy a
scroll of pulverisation and nip back down the volcano and wipe out something
mean.

You should now have enough cash to buy some decent armour and you
should be at level 12 or so.

Larn could do with some additional feature to stop this kind of playing
while still making sure that the dungeon is a place to collect kit to
go down the volcano.

Two possible ideas are not having 'magic mapping' or 'pulverisation'
in the DND store or having the volcano require some key that is found
at the bottom of the dungeon.

Hi, larners.
I just found some unpleasant bug (junk screen/memory damage):
All occurences of '<=26' in main.c should be changed to '<26',
because 'iven' size is 26, not 27.
