Hello out there in netland, I recently grabbed a copy of 'search' an old multiplayer search and destroy game (circa 1985) off of a ftp site. It used to be a favorite of mine a long time ago and I was wondering if anybody had gotten it to work on the Sun networks. I get it to compile without any warnings, but when I try to run it I get something like the following in the error log: starting daemon, pid 648 listening at port 3756 select error in newplayer() error, input select error, input select error, input select error, input select error, input select error, input select error, input select error, input select error, input select error, input select error, input select error, input select Does anybody remember this game? Does anybody out there know the solution to this problem? If not, can anybody tell me how to get in touch with Matt Crawford (last seen at <ihnp4!oddjob!matt> or <crawford@anl-mcs.arpa> or <matt@uchicago.csnet> or <x1.crawford@uchicago.bitnet>) My thanks in advance, Bharat -- | Bharat Mediratta | JANET: bharat@cm.cf.ac.uk | +--------------------+ UUNET: bharat%cm.cf.ac.uk%cunyvm.cuny.edu@uunet.uucp | |On a clear disk... | uk.co: bharat%cm.cf.ac.uk%cunyvm.cuny.edu%uunet.uucp@ukc| |you can seek forever| UUCP: ...!uunet!cunym.cuny.edu!cm.cf.ac.uk!bharat |
