Has anyone gotten PC Moria (1.83) to run on a system with DOS 3.3? I got the executable by ftp from somewhere, and it worked fine with DOS 3.2, but now when I try it on 3.3, it doesn't do anything except wait for a couple of seconds, then exit. No error message is given, it just returns to DOS without doing anything. Then I tried to compile the source I got from the same place, and it's missing some routines (random, srandom, etc). (Sorry, but I can't mail the source to anyone. It would take 3 hours or longer to upload it.) - - - - - - - - - Steve Creps on the VAX 8650 running Ultrix 2.0-1 at Indiana University. creps@silver.bacs.indiana.edu, ...iuvax!silver!creps, creps@iubacs.bitnet "Louisville Slugger baseball bats are made in Indiana"

I had the problem you described on _both_ 3.2 and 3.3. It turned out to be a combination of not enough available memory (Too many device drivers and TSR's in my case) and setting the environ- ment space to a non-default value (the /E=nnnn parameter in config.sys in the SHELL= line). If you free up all memory and leave off the /E parameter in the config.sys I bet it will solve your problem. Good Luck!
