[comp.theory] Data compression

I am doing a report on data compression algorithms for my computer science
class.  However, I have been able to find very little information on this
subject.  If anyone has any sourcecode, executable (amiga, ibm or mac) code,
information, data files, or anything related tothis subject, I would greatly
appreciate it if you could send it up.  Any help would be appreciated.

I would like to get some sources on Data compression, and would
appreciate it if people would mail or post titles.  This should be
stuff that an undergraduate can wade through, perhaps with a litlle
help.  

If there is interest, I will post a bibliography (summary).
