From: David Towson (CSD) <towson@amsaa> Drew - SIG/M Volume 140 contains a 6800 cross-assembler for use under CP/M. This is available for anonymous FTP from Simtel20. There are nine files in the package, and I know nothing more about them. Get the directory file MICRO:<SIGM>SIGM.CRCLST for the particular file names and their CRC values (for checking the end-to-end transfer from simtel20 to your CP/M machine). Of course, if you don't have a CP/M machine....well, happy hacking ! Dave towson@amsaa

Drew: Check with the C Users' Group out of Yates Center, KS. The address is available in Dr. Dobbs Journal. Their library contains a 6800 cross assembler written in BDS C. I believe the author's name is William Crowley. It's very usable, WELL documented, and seems to work as advertized.

From: Drew Anderson <DDA@CMU-CS-C.ARPA> Does anyone know of a very cheap (preferably free) cross assembler that will run on a CP/M system? All pointers would be appreciated. If I can find a free (public domain one) I will send it to SRI-KL and see if they will put it in the micro directory. Thanks, Drew Anderson DDA@cmu-cs-c.arpa -------
