Georgetown University is seeking a Chairman for its Department of
Computer Science. The appointment will be at the rank of 
Associate or full Professor. Salary and benefits are competitive.

The Department of Computer Science at Georgetown currently offers an
undergraduate major and minor. An incoming chairman will have an unusual
opportunity to build the program and department from a small but excellent
nucleus. Research interests of the current members of the department
include: theory, computational geometry, algorithms,  simulation and
software engineering. Applicants with research interests in any of these
as well as other areas are encouraged to apply. Excellence in teaching is
important at Georgetown.

The Georgetown University Department of Computer Science is a small
department with a pleasant, collegial atmosphere. The University is 
located in northwest Washington, DC. In addition to the local night life
of Georgetown, Washington contains a myriad of museums, parks, and cultural
amenities, most of which are free. It's a nice place to raise a family or to
