		PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Second Annual International Symposium on Algorithms

		December 16-18, 1991
			at
	     Academia Sinica, Taiwan, R.O.C.
***********************************************************

The second annual International Symposium on Algorithms will be
held December 16-18, 1991 at Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan,
R.O.C.  Besides five invited talks, the Symposium welcomes contributed
papers.  The first such symposium was held 1990 in Tokyo, Japan
as "SIGAL International Symposium on Algorithms".  The Proceedings was
published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science by Springer-Verlag.

The Symposium focuses on topics in computational complexity, data structures
and algorithm design.  Typical areas are as follows:

Combinatorial Algorithms
Probabilistic and Approximation Algorithms on graphs, networks and VLSI
Parallel and Distributed Algorithms
Computational Geometry and Algebra
Cryptography.

Original contributions in related areas are also welcome.
