Quick specs on the MacIntosh
   (from the horse's mouth - sort of)

processor - 8MHz 68000
memory - 128K RAM expandible to 512K internal
         64K ROM
display - 512h x 342v bit mapped
disk - 3-1/2" 400K cartridge drive
       expands to 800K+ (1.2M unformatted)
keyboard - 58 key, detachable with socket for
       expansion numeric keypad
mouse - 1 button
ports - RS232/RS422, external drive port,
       mouse port, audio port
software included: MacPaint, MacWrite,
       Multi-Plan (Microsoft)
       will run Lisa-2 family software
operating system - ???
       UNIX, CP/M-68K planned
       MS-DOS through hardware expansion
size: 10" x 10" footprint. Under 20 pounds.
       (portable)
accessories: carrying case included
software under development by Microsoft, Lotus,
       S. P. I., Ashton-Tate, etc.
extras: Davong hard drives (up to 70 Meg),
       modems (300 & 1200), printers, plotters,
       color display is rumored

Wow, that looks really tempting. However, being a UNIX chauvinist,
I want to know (are you listening Microsoft?):

	1. When will UNIX (XENIX, UniPlus, UNITY, or (dare I hope?) 4.2BSD)
		be available for the Mac?

	2. Which hapless software house gets to do the port?

	3. Floppies are cute, but... when can I put my 40Mbyte 5.25 inch
		winchester on this thing? (Or maybe a Maxtor 140Mbyte!)
		or some other reasonable capacity hard disk drive?

I tried to get something out of a friend, who is also an Apple employee,
but I guess I didn't twist his arm enough...
