Is there any interest in setting up a net.micro.68k news group, for the purpose of discussing Motorola 680XX hardware and software? I, for one, am no longer interested in Z80s, 8080's, or any CPU with 8 or fewer bits. There also seems to be quite a bit happening with the 680XX stuff - new product announcements from Motorola, CP/M 68, UNIX, new 12MHz+ parts, etc. I would also like to see some discussion of performance on the various 68K boards that people use. I would also like a group on 16+ bit microprocessors. I teach a course on these little monsters, and I'd like all the information I can get. Pat Wood ...!harpo!mhuxv!phw

#R:fortune:-10400:beta:6200001:000:229 beta!mark Jul 16 17:34:00 1982 Count me as interested in a 68k group. I read micro only to pass interesting looking tidbits onto my z80/8080/6502/etc-using friends. 68k stuff I go out of my way to read for myself. Mark Wittenberg ...decvax!sytek!zehntel!mark
