As announced at STOC 91, I will be taking over the Editorship of SIGACT News from Mike Langston. I think Mike did a superlative job of keeping SIGACT News relevant and on-schedule. I hope to be able to continue that tradition. I encourage everybody to use SIGACT News as a forum for issues important to theoretical computer scientists. As always, Letters to the Editor, Transitions, Reports and Pictures from conferences, Articles, and Announcements are welcome. Electronic submissions are encouraged. My email address is ian@dept.csci.unt.edu My favourite word-processor is LaTeX, but I can handle TeX and troff. Otherwise, send camera-ready copy. The preferred format for this is 12 point type single spaced text width 6.5 inches (16.5cm) text height 9.2 inches (23cm) I can send a LaTeX header for those who need it.
