I forgot to mention the clincher: On ADM's, HP's, etc., you can pull the keytops off malfunctioning keyswitches and spray the contacts with TV tunner cleaner, which makes things nice for another couple of monnths. The TTX keyswitches cannot be fixed; the buttonns pull off, but the mechannism unndernneath is sealed, annd soldered to a PC board unnder the metal moutninng plate. (Yes, it is ruggedly built. A tank with an X-car enngine). Does anyone have solutions to such problems? Are other cheap terminals suffering from such keyboards? Do VIC-20s have better keyswitches, or does their firmware just scan too slowly to catch the bounces? mike k Againn, just my personal experiences, not AT&T views.
