I'm posting this for a friend who doesn't have net access, so
any errors are mine.
My friend has an IBM Music Writer. He has found it inadequate
to his needs--it doesn't have enough RAM, it's too slow, it
won't do parts.
The question is: Is there a software package that he can use? He
wants to produce both conductor's scores and players' parts for fairly
long works. If there's more than one, all the better. He doesn't
have a computer now, so compatibility isn't a problem.
The next question is: Who's a good dealer in the Southern California
area? He's not computer-literate and is willing to pay for set-up and
support.
If there aren't any packages that do what he wants, what a good
second-best?
