I've been playing around with CSound on the NeXT lately, and I was wondering
about a variety of things:
- ems.media.mit.edu seems to be down. Does anyone know what
the situation might be? Is there another archive site that has
CSound stuff on it? I'm especially interested in examples at
this point, but later I will start getting more interested in
source code.
- I'd like to print out the on-line documentation that came
with Pete Yadlowski's NeXT port. I'm pretty sure this could be
done with ptroff and the right macro package, but none of the
macro packages on my NeXT will do it correctly. Does anyone
have a pointer to the right macro package to use?
- I noticed in a posting about the 1990 International Computer
Music Conference that several presentations had to do with
CSound. I was particularly interested in the following:
Demonstration: Real-time CSOUND: Software Synthesis
with Sensing and Control, Barry Vercoe
Concurrent CSound: Parallel Execution for High Speed
Direct Synthesis, Nick Bailey, Alan Purvis, Peter
Manning, Ian Bowler
Demonstration: Durham's New Desk-top Supercomputer
System Running Parallel CSound, Alan Purvis, Nick
Bailey, Peter Manning, Ron Berry, Ian Bowler and Michael
Clarke
I'd really appreciate any additional information or pointers to
additional information about these projects.
Thanks in advance,
David Rosenbaum
