Can anyone tell me what's the best MIDI interface for IBM compatible computers (AST-386SX) and what's the best software for sequencing, editing and/or printing scores? Thanks for any informations. #################################################################### Ron D. The most popular PC/MIDI setup seems to be CakeWalk 3.0 with an MPU-401 compatable MIDI card. That's what I have (MusicQuest PC/MIDI card) and it works just fine. - Carl

The MusicQuest card is inexpensive and works find. In fact it is the only card I can use on my systems. One system is a Tandy 1000 and the other system has a SCSI disk at port 330H which is the normal port for the MPU-401. The MusicQuest card lets you change the port to 300H. Hopefully some good Windows 3.0 based Midi software will be coming out soon... -----Dale Rogerson-----
