Hi guys, I bought an U-20 Roland sample player. I believe is a good machine. But I've got a problem. I'm not able to dump via midi ex.sys. anything! I'm using a Yamaha CX5 II computer running a program utility that allows to do universal sys ex dump. I've got no problem dumping my TX81Z, but the U-20 stops after trasmitting a few bytes (22 bytes dumping ALL, and 138 dumping a sound patch or a rhythm set !!!) Loading the same back in the U-20,and using the (wonderful) MIDI MONITOR built in feature, I can read what the synt dumped, and it seems that the machine start to dump correctly by putting an F0 (start eox) but just after few bytes it puts an F7 (eox). Is out there anybody knowing such a problem? Or better,Anybody that knows the way that kind of transfer occurs? I just want to know if is my Computer/routine or the U-20 doesn't work properly.
