Last night while recording a demo tape, my bass player who always puns came up with this one which struck me as something worth sharing. While the guitarist was putting various resistor and capacitor values in the active tone pre-amplifier of his electric guitar, he was asking us what values produced the best tone without affecting the 'gain' of the pre-amp dramatically. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Guitarist : I must be getting 'studio-ears', I can't hear any difference anymore since I've been playing with this thing all night. Clevinger (Bass) Player : I can't tell either. Guitarist : It must be psychoacoustics. Keyboard Player : What's psychoacoustics? Clevinger Player : It's how things sound in the shower! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Maybe it's an old joke around computer music researchers in Psychoacoustics, but I hope someone gets a kick out of it.
