I am interested in sampling sounds and being able to play them back in stereo via a Sun Workstation. It seems that everyone is using Macs, IBMs, or some other PC. In particular, I would like to be able to make Unix or C calls from the workstation to play sampled sound #xx for some pre-determined length of time, or until I send some stop signal. I would also like to be able play multiple sampled sounds at once. If possible, it would be nice to be able to call a routine that played the sampled sound givin a variety of information such as pitch, volume, duration etc. As anyone out there in netland ever done something like this on a Sun? Please e-mail any responces. -- Richard B. Mitchell mitchell@linus.mitre.org M/S A047 bates@mbunix.mitre.org The Mitre Corp.
