From: Bill Rizzi <RIZZI@usc-isib> I have seen reference to a protocol for upload/download on Compuserve in the TODAY publication from Compuserve as well as in descriptions of communications software packages. Does anyone know the specifics of this protocol or where more info about it may be obtained?? Does the Source have anything like this too?? Thanks, Bill (RIZZI@ISIB) -------

From: Charlie Strom (NYU) <strom@brl-bmd> CIS currently has two protocols active, A and B; I can only give you information about the older (A) protocol. There is a file called PROTCOL.CIS or PRTCOL.CIS bothon CP-MIG (the CP/M interest group there) as well as RCPM's; might be on Simtel20 too. This describes the protocol fully, though bear in mind there was no formal definition in the public domain until this document was gleaned from a running program. As far as I know, there is no such thing as a protocol, error-checking transfer on the Source, but this is heresay.
