I remember reading about a little device that would seem to be perfect for replacing a computer sequencer in a live gig. It was a little box that would take in MIDI (the whole 16 channel stream) and convert it into an audio signal. You would then put this audio signal on tape and take your tape and little box to your gig. To play it back, you would input This device was made by the same people who made the SyncMan (MidiMan Corp I think.) I think it was cheap too. I never have used one, so I can't attest to how well it works, but it is worth a shot. Hope this helps! Cy Fenton at HUMMINGBIRD@PAN.COM
