[comp.music] FTP address of CMUSIC, CMU Toolkit?

pixel@cbnewse.att.com (william.j.sequeira) (02/16/91)

I am in need of the FTP address where I can locate the source for CMUSIC
as used in the text "Elements of Computer Music", and also that of the CMU
Midi Toolkit, Macintosh version.
The latter used to be located on g.gp.cs.cmu.edu (or similar) and is not
there anymore. Does anybody know why? Any suggestions welcomed!

cmusic is not (supposed to be) available via ftp. cmusic is part of the
CARL software distribution which is available from the Center for Music
Experiment for a distribution fee of $250. You may be able to work
something out with Dick -- he used to work at Bell Labs. Just tell him
that cmusic is strongly based on the music V program which was developed
there 8^) His email address is: frm@carl.ucsd.edu
