I was wondering about integrating human voice into computer music performance. What voice synthesizers that can sing are available. Meaning first if there are any ftp sites voice synthesizers and secondly any hardware systems to add to a PC of workstation. I remember a few years back a nice unit for DEC called DECTALK. Is that still availiable? Or is there better. I, too. I've thought about using a vocoder "manually" to modify
synthesizer voices for choral music.

I don't know if they can still be found. But in last year's music
issue of Computing Systems (I think it was Vol 3 #2), weren't the
voices of "Eddie and Eedie" generated by DECTALK box(es)?
