Ok here's the deal: I have a PS/2 model 50 - one of those horrible MCA machines. I desperately want a MPU-comp interface. Now the UB micro center here is selling a "Roland Desktop Music System" for the PS/2 line. Included in the deal is the new Roland MPU-IMC MIDI interface card, a Roland CM-32L sound module, Ballade (by Dynaware), and MIDI cables. All for $600. Ok, now I was wondering if someone would like to buy just the Sound Module and Ballade to run with it. Of course, you need a MIDI interface card, but for anything but MCA machines, that is no big deal to get. Now the CM-32L has 8 multitimbral capability + 1 rhythm track. I assume, but I am not certain, that it has 16 voices. It uses Roland's L/A synthesis technique and sounds *very* good. Ballade is a sequencer/patch editor/lib. I can't go into much detail but it is quite a snazzy program, very graphic and quite easy to use. It's not for really serious work, but it's great for the musical hobbiest and the kids. Now if someone wants all this (minus the MIDI interface) I'll sell it for $475. Any Takers? Ken Morton v097pba8@ubvms.Bitnet v097pba8@ubvmsd.cc.buffalo.edu
