I've seen demos of both Finale (by Coda software) and Copyist DTP (Dr. T's) and are both good programs. Finale is probably the most powerful but I've heard it is like using a text formatter sometimes, like TeX or Scribe (just plain difficult). Copyist is not as powerful but can probably do anything most people want. I would only get the Copyist DTP because it has PostScript, and music printed by dot matrix printers looks very unprofessional. --Eugene A. Beidl --uge@athena.mit.edu

Agreed; but the latest version of Copyist does allow HP LaserJet output.
