What is a good notation/scoring program that handles at least 6 staves
for the IBM PC?

I've seen demos of both Finale (by Coda software) and Copyist DTP (Dr. T's)
and are both good programs. Finale is probably the most powerful but I've heard
it is like using a text formatter sometimes, like TeX or Scribe (just plain
difficult). Copyist is not as powerful but can probably do anything most
people want. I would only get the Copyist DTP because it has PostScript,
and music printed by dot matrix printers looks very unprofessional.

Agreed; but the latest version of Copyist does allow HP LaserJet output.
As long as the HP has enough memory to handle it, that output is just as clear
as PostScript.
