In the March 1991 issue of the Communications of the ACM ( V34, #3 ),
there is an article entitled "Justification of printed music", written
by Dorothea Blostein ( blostein@qucis.queensu.ca ), and Lippold Haken
( l-haken@uiuc.edu ). It starts on page 88, and talks about how to
do spacing when typesetting music. It also talks about Lime, a typesetting
system for music, (contact l-haken@uiuc.edu for more information on Lime),
and the article has 19 references for more information.
