What is a good conference for someone who works for a computer manufacturer doing system software support for 3rd party music applications? The computer music conference sounds more like something someone professionally involved with composition and music research would go to. I want to learn about hardware and software technologies out there and connect with application developers, both commercial and academic. And it would be nice if there were music and excitement to the conference, too.
