Help! I found a utility for the SoundBlaster I bought a few weeks ago
that plays Amiga NoiseTracker MODules. If anyone has ever heard this
they can understand why I am so excited.
The sound quality is excellent (it's not speaker beeps and bops). From
what I deduced: peices of digitized sound are played at certain times
in different tones. The result is very cool sounding digitized music
and the great part is the files are not huge (about 50-100k).
I heard a great file that almost perfectly mimics the theme from the
movie FLETCH.
Well, here it is, Does anyone know what the latest version of this program
is? Does anyone know if there is also some kind of IBM program that
allows you create these type modules? And finally, I would really really
like to put this type of sound in a program I'm writting, I have code
for the soundblaster, but, is there code to play or create Amiga
Noise Tracker modules.
P.S. I talked to a Amiga user and he mentioned a program called "MED" or
something like that, used to create these files on the Amiga.
I would greatly appreciate any help. please please please please please

For the PC speaker, look for MODPY112.ZIP (is there a newer version?) For better sound, get a Sound Blaster and use one of the following: JMPLAY11.ZIP, or TBLAST20.ZIP. Track Blaster is the better of the two. -- Jay Hofacker, sysop of the Audio/Visual Exchange, (606)254-1751 3/12/24 MNP 5 Mail: jayh@ms.uky.edu / uk02779@ukpr.uky.edu -- Yes, my signature is only 2 lin
