I have a mac SE30, a roland drum machine, and yamaha synth. I have recently bought a midi connector for the mac and I now have th mac, synth and drum machine liked. What I want to do now is 1 Play the drum tack, record it on the mac. 2 Play back the drums, and add a dass layer, 3 Play both the drums and bass then add strings, piano etc. 4 Play all the tracks together and recxord them on a four track. I need some piece of sequencing software. But I have no money. can anyone give me details of any public domain or shareware sequencing software? Arthur: Times must be tough in the halls of Academe! Get the departmnent to fork out a few quid for a decent sequencer that you can use (for research of course!) Seriously every computing department should have seqeuncing and MIDI soft/hardware; after all... There are some faily cheap sequencers out there for the Mac. Recommend looking through the back pages of back issues of KEYBOARD & ELECTRONIC MUSICIAN, especially in the small ads you'll find something I'm sure. If I run across one I'll post you.
