I recently parted with my Amiga 500 which I used as the computer for my MIDI equipment. I now have a 386/25 PC clone which I would like to outfit so I can go back to writing and sequencing. What I'd like is some opinions and prices (if possible) for the following software and hardware to do this: 1- MIDI Interface (preferably one which is just the interface and nothing else. But if anyone can give me info on cards like Soundblaster with their MIDI interface, I'd appreciate that too) 2- Sequencing software. I had Dr. T's KCS Level II for the Amiga and like it a great deal. Mainly I want about the same features (TRACK editting, recording; Graphical Editor, some sort of scoring (not necessary but nice), and hopefully a Algorithmic music generator (I think DR. T's was called PVG or something like that)). What options am I faced with here. 3- Editor/Librarian for an Yamaha SY22. This is essential to have, but I thought that perhaps I might get one if one is available and the price is right. Anyone help, price listings and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Butch butch@fergvax.unl.edu
