[We need comp.sys.dg ...] We're looking into replacing 6 DECstation 3100s with entry-level AViiONs (AV 200). In just over one year, only 1 has not broken. The other 5 (including the server) have broken at least 3 times EACH. Field Service has been atrocious. I've dealt with DG in the past regarding the MVs and have gotten the best service of any company I've ever talked to. I'd like to know about people's experiences with the AViiONs. Are they as reliable as the MVs? Is DG service as knowledgable about them as they are about the MVs? How is DG/UX 4.20? Do they really boot with TFTP (so I can boot from a Sun) like I've heard they do?
