While we're talking about not-exactly-aos questions, I was wonderring if anybody could answer the following... (1) DG/10's (remember, dual processor desktops) could run MSDOS as well as AOS or DG/RDOS; but I never saw modern versions of MSDOS running on it. Anyone know if you can get MSDOS 3+ (or even DR DOS 5) running on these animals? (2) Also on the subject of DG10's, the screen memory is mapped to a strange place (under MSDOS) in my version, and something nasty is where normal PC's put the screen (seems to crash very easily when standard PC software unwittingly tries to access it, e.g. Turbo Pascal's CRT unit). I asked DG ages ago, but no joy. Anyone know of solutions? Yes, I know that DG10's are as old as the hills, but they had one disadvantage which is now a heck of an advantage - 8086 i/o is trapped by the microECLIPSE, which makes them potentially VERY useful for testing new programs for viruses. DG - are you listening? brush the dust off the old DG10 glossies, there's life in the old boy yet! (3) Is Business BASIC still alive and kicking? Are there compilers for old BB programs running on PC's, Unix, etc? Thanks in advance. P.S. Perhaps this newsgroup should be renamed to something like comp.os.dg?

I believe there is a business basic compiler avaiable under ULTRIX -- Mark Garrett Internet: mark@loki.une.oz.au University of NewEngland ACSnet: mark@loki.une.oz Northern Rivers VAX/VMS PSI: psi%0505266222011::mark Lismore NSW Australia Phone: +61 (066) 203859
