[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.domains] Novice needs help

blu@millipore.com (Brian Utterback) (12/19/90)

I need help. I want to start using named on our network. At present we have
two machines designated as name servers for our domain. Our net is not
subnetted and is not connected to the Internet (although it may somday).
So far I am unable to figure out the proper configuration files for the
name servers. The two machines (call them priserv and secserv) are Ultrix and
SunOS based respectively. After reading the docs from Ultrix, from SUN and
in the UNIX System Admin. Handbook, I still can't figure it out. Can someone
help me out? What should each file have in it? All of our addresses are
of the form 128.1.ss.hhh where ss is an area (such as 10) and hhh is the host.
Priserv is 128.1.10.17 and secserv is 128.1.10.124.

Any kind souls out there that can give me a hand?
