asp@uunet.UU.NET (Andrew Partan) (01/17/91)
As I had mentioned back when we moved news off of uunet.uu.net that things would change, well they have changed again. news.uu.net is now no longer a CNAME for ns.uu.net. news.uu.net is its own machine. So is ns.uu.net. We are going to be moving all of the nameserver stuff off of uunet.uu.net onto ns.uu.net. Most of this will probably take place just after Usenix. If you had any cached addresses for machines here at uu.net, flush them, they may no longer be correct. If your nntp_access file does not permit *.uu.net to send you news, your newsfeed may stop until you fix it. If you are not sending news to news.uu.net, its will not get here. Thanks, --asp@uunet.uu.net (Andrew Partan)
