[comp.protocols.tcp-ip.domains] Wildcard *A*

After spending a few hours at a customer's site tracking down a
mysterious IP loopback problem, I just have to ask the net this:

    What do you think about the use of wildcard *A* RR's?

To put it another way, what are the pros and cons for putting
a line like

    *.sub.domain       IN A    www.xxx.yyy.zzz

in your zone's master file?
