[comp.sys.zenith] FTM in SVGA mode???

There was a recent posting to comp.sys.ibm.pc where someone stated
that a Zenith rep at Comdex told him that although Zenith did not support
super VGA mode, the FTM 1490 monitor was actually capable of running
in super VGA mode. Does anyone out there actually know if this is true
or not? (I know the Zenith book says only standard VGA).

How could one find out? Would it damage the monitor to hook it up
to a super VGA card and switch to that mode?
