Greetings, I have a new Z-386/33 system. I am trying to get an AT&T Targa-32 video-graphics board to work in the 33mhz system (I was previously using the targa board in an 8mhz AT). The only way I can get the Targa board to work now is if I run the Zenith in Slow-PC mode (manual says 15 wait states inserted). In both Fast mode (0 wait states) and slow-AT (10 wait states) the targa board will not run. Anyone know how I can slow the Z-386/33 bus down without slowing down the CPU and memory? According to the people I bought the Targa board from the Targa-32 will not work on a bus faster than 8mhz (actially something like 8.13mhz). I've tried putting the Targa board in a number of different slots with no effect. With 15 wait states inserted the Z-386/33 is nothing but a very expensive 8mhz AT. Sigh.. The Zenith folks were no help, the support people say they'll call back and don't. The Sales rep pointed me towards a third party who could only suggest I buy the new version of the Targa-16 (not 32) which works on the faster bus. Any suggestions? --Larry ARPA: bierma@nprdc.navy.mil UUCP: ucsd!nprdc!bierma PSTN: (619) 553-7915
