I have at 1490 that also has a problem with certain colors going out intermittantly. I get it once or twice a day with brown or red. Switching from the program I'm in to a new one that puts a lot up on the screen seems always to temporarily fix it. I'd also be interested in insight anyone may have on this problem. (It is not power glitches). T. D. Stephen Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

I am planning on fixing it myself since the local Zenith will be charging me $92 to just look at the thing. A new part at Radio Shack is about $10. According to another user, this is just a matter of cutting the cable and soldering the pins with the new connector..... ....now tell me, is this a smart thing to do since there is 15 little tiny pins to solder.....or should I just pay the guy $120+ to fix the thing? Any insight would be appreciative.... ...dale
