Has anyone else experience the problem described below: About 15 months after I purchased my Zenith Flat Screen Monitor (ZCM-1490), I noticed the red color started to flicker on and off. It got worse and worse until a few days of this message. What eventually happened was pin #1 (red) broke off INSIDE my video card and causing me much inconvenience of fishing out this broken pin from inside my VGA card...what a PAIN! For those people that had a similar problem with their Zenith monitor or know of anyone that I could contact/complain to fix this monitor, please let me know. Thank you. ...dale

On our Zenith ZCM 1490 the monitor wouldn't be recognized as a color monitor because the very fragile pins in the 15-pin connector weren't seated deeply enough. Considering the very thick cable, they ought to use sturdier pins. Plus the cable is not detachable at the monitor end for replacement. Quirky Zenith hardware, as usual.
