Thanks to those who responded to my "how do I put a hard drive in a 181" post. I'll summarize for the benefit of the masses: 1) There was an official upgrade package which has been discontinued but may be available from dealers. Call Heath if you want part numbers and whatnot. 2) There is a drive which connects to the serial port; it's slow as sin but works (and exists). Call Welltech, 800-333-5155 or check your favorite mag. 3) Both of these cost (past and present tense respectively) about $1000 list. Use your own judgement. 4) Interestingly, there is a fellow in Arizona who builds HD upgrades for 1_7_1's. I talked to him in the course of my search and apparently convinced him that there's a market for the 181. If you want to agitate, call Serendipity, 602-938-3728. Hope This Helps (tm). _____________________________________________________________________________ / \ | Dave Schweisguth Home: 814-862-0806 dcs100@psuvm.psu.edu | | 406 Althouse Laboratory Work: 814-863-2791 America Online: Von Mordo | | University Park, PA 16802 FAX: 814-863-7024 GEnie: D.SCHWEISGUT | \_____________________________________________________________________________/
