I have an IBM PC in my office with a 40-meg hard drive and IBM PC-DOS 3.3. With PC-DOS, I have to partition my drive 32/8 in C & D, respectively. I know that if I get DOS 4.0 I can partition all 40 megs as drive c, but at a cost of $100+ bucks. My question: Can I load my Zenith DOS 3.3 Plus into a non-Zenith system. 3.3 Plus supports partitions greater than 32 megs.... Thanks in advance, Bob M., PSU-Harrisburg.

At UNL, we have 4 HP Vectras (286's) which HP donated to us without any operating systems. We are running Zenith 3.3 DOS on them with no problem when they are not running Minix. Bob, I Can't tell you if it would work, but keep the following in mind if you try. 1) Is it in violation of Zenith's license agreement? 2) 3.3+ is not completely compatible with everything. Norton 4.5 AE won't run on my Z-248 with 3.3+, but it ran ok with 3.21 :-( 3) Wait and see what DOS 5.0 has. :-) -Walden --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Walden H.
