I have a Zenith 150 with 640K and I have been attempting to install a Quantum 40 M SCCI hard drive with a Seagate ST0-1 SCCI controller card. I have spent much time trying to get the disk to operate. If I use PREP (DOS 3.3), I get the message "insufficient memory for internal buffers." I get this even though the machine has 640 K and I have allocated much stack space with the STACK command in CONFIGUR.SYS. When I use DEBUG to initiate formating, formating begins but quickly I get a "divide overflow" message. When I use DEBUG I issue the command g=CA00:0 for according to the manual I have set the jumpers on the STO-1 for a BIOS memory address of ca000 hex. I have gotten about the same results with an IBM PC and a Zenith 150. Finally, with all the Zenith Systems when the machine is initially turned on I get a DIVIDE OVERFLOW!! message. I have tried increasing the number of files and buffers with CONFIG.SYS. I also get the same results when I use DOS 2.11. Any suggestions would be appreciated. ---Thanks! ------------Marshall
